TetraPHIed Jungle Hedron

2018-07-21 14.20.18-1-2.jpg

The TetraPHIed Jungle Hedron, later shortened to just "Jungle Hedron" was created initially for "Fractal Vision" the theme of 2015 Saguaro Man at Double Dolphin Farms in Snowflake, AZ.

The jungle gym shape is based on the phi ratio to celebrate the theme "Fractal Vision" & each leg has a 5' tetrahedron with a 3' then 2' then 1' to the tip on 3 sides, anchored by an 8' tetrahedron base.

My partner Chris added ping sensors to the RGB LED lighting to allow the participants to be able to adjust the lighting spectrum with their proximity.

The structure is built using only 6 pieces of wood vs 9 to construct each side which is a reduction in overall cost associated with the materials , while adding strength to the structure & beauty to its form.

We presented the "Jungle Hedron" again at the Firefly Festival in Northern Arizona in 2015 with the addition of more hedrons down to toothpick scale & UV lighting & UV paint the community added for the event as a collaborative effort.

We are hoping to bring it back soon, new & improved )'( ♥ Visit our gallery page for progress pictures & more event photos from day & night, enjoy ♥
