Lucid is part of a series of such sculptures under the umbrella project name Fundamental Shift.
Lucid is approximately 5 feet in diameter made of artfully sustainable farmed Mendocino redwood tetrahedrons of progressively smaller sizes by proportion of the Golden Ratio (aka Phi { 0.618… } ).
Lucid hangs from an 8' tall wooden tetrahedron such that participants can rotate the sculpture to explore the dimensions.
The inside of the large 8’ tetrahedron is lit with microprocessor controlled diffused LED strips focusing light onto the piece to achieve visual reverberations, and to illuminate the piece for safety during the night.
There are colored markers with caps tied to the large tetrahedron hanging and available for festival participants to leave their mark, observe or have an interaction with another person at the art piece.
